🙋🏻‍♂️ What I'm up to Right Now

Life: We moved to the not-so-sunny seaside town of Porthcawl a while back. I’m currently in the process of recovering from a few years dealing with long-covid and various chronic health issues. I hit rock bottom and was bedbound for quite some time, but slowly but surely I’ve been able to get back on my feet and I’m hoping to share some of the things that have helped me soon.

Training: I’ve managed to ease my way back into training recently, rebuilding my strength, mobility and endurance after a rough few years. That started with simple breathwork exercises and mini-movement snacks, and I’m now back to lifting weights, running and training BJJ.

Work: I had to take an extended time off my work here on the website and as a freelance writer, but I’m now starting to test the waters once more. I’ve had a lot of time to think over the past few years, so I’m hoping to use the tools and lessons  I’ve picked up to approach this in a more sustainable way that doesn’t leave me feeling so burnt out. 

Dec 2021:

Life. We’re currently lying low and getting through the pandemic like everyone else. Grateful that we’re back living close to family, and that we’re able to work from home. I realise that there’s many people out there who don’t have that luxury!

Training. Like many others I’m currently training at home during the pandemic. It’s Winter time, which usually means the weather is a bit pants for outdoor training here in Wales. So I’m doing a simple dumbbell based routine in our small shed, combined with some mobility work, running and lots of ping pong. It does the job!

Work. We’ve launched on the Playbook app – something I’m really excited about. The app is user friendly for you guys, but also makes it super easy for me to create and upload content. Right now we have some mobility content, a nutrition guide and some beginner strength stuff, but I’m excited to build it out over the next year. Check out the app here.
